Friday The 13th The Final Chapter
The relaxing time the family takes on the lake shore ends when the killer Jason Voorhees appears. After Jason escaped from a morgue he left the bodies in his wake and went to the lake shore to meet the family to terrorize her. On the other hand, Jason travels to the Crystal Lake camp where a group of friends are there to meet them and teens meet some locals, Tommy and Triche, as well as Rob. It is the horror story that Jason embodies upon his return from his mortal wound.

The stars come out to play for this one.....they shouldn't have bothered

Watching it again today, it works oddly well, almost like a John Hughes movie that got lost and wandered into slasher territory.

There's little doubt that Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter marks the nadir of the series up to this point...

Not so venally stupid as its predecessor.

Considering how long these movies kept going and how many of them there were, it's strange that only this one had everything in its proper place.

Some rather amusing crap, actually.

This one certainly felt as if it properly closed out the Friday the 13th series before it devolved into unadulterated camp.

They promised this would be the final one. They lied.

The final confrontation between Tommy and Jason is quite gorgeous, at least in the horror movie term of gore-geous.

Can you say, Crispin Clover dance off?
June 25, 2014
A brutal but entertaining installment for the man behind the mask...
